The lyrics are the realization that this cycle just keeps repeating, becoming increasingly difficult to find a way out. Almost arguing with worst part of myself, as if blaming my problems on someone else rather than dealing with what's inside head on. Despite some slight optimism towards the end of the second verse, it fades quickly as the cycle of depression and anxiety completely take over again. A soft, emotional ending showing acceptance of my situation as the cycle begins again. Almost awake, slipping back into that hypnagogic state.
lyrics
Well it's all come back to this.
Every single moment, every single time, everything circles back to you.
I was almost my own entity, but this is the way it's meant to be.
One step out of the mud and suddenly you sink back into it again.
Relief, if only for a moment
But I know you weren't far away.
This road is one big circle, you were never meant to leave.
I can fight until I bleed out, skin so raw that the nerves shatter.
Not like it was any use, you've always kind of been there.
I couldn't imagine it any other way.
Our blood, our skin, everything lines up evenly, you're just another part of me.
I can't say that I'm surprised, that doesn't mean that I welcome you.
Now the transition starts again, if only you were dead
There has to be another way.
I foolishly let this hope build up.
Hoping to see another face, but there's only room for us.
Now that path comes back around again, we can continue purgatory.
Don't look back once you walk away, you'll see me again soon enough.
It never ends
(I'll always be back here again)
Back to the beginning
(I wish it would end here)
Exhausted and just full of shit, I won't take another step.
But something always drags me forward, even while I beg for it to stop.
But of course it's always been you fighting only turns me into.
Your acceptance turns you into me, same old shit for eternity
Ending us so nothing continues on, leaving no choice since the hope is gone.
But I know that I'm stronger, built with a hardened resistance.
So let's push on again, something in you will finally break.
And when it does I will leave you to rot.
The ending will come for better or for worse.
It never ends
(I'll always be back here again)
Back to the beginning
(I wish it would end here)
It never ends
(I'll always be back here again)
Back to the beginning
(I wish it would end here)
It never ends
I'll always be back here again
Back to the beginning
I wish this would end here
